Categories & Brands

Categories and brands help customers find products and enable powerful filtering on your storefront.

Categories

Creating categories

Go to Products → Categories → Create Category:

• Name — category display name (e.g., "Shoes")
• Slug — URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated from name)
• Description — optional category description
• Image — category image for visual navigation
• Parent Category — create subcategories by selecting a parent
• Sort Order — controls display order (lower numbers appear first)
• Active — inactive categories are hidden from the storefront

Hierarchical categories

Categories support parent-child relationships. For example:

Clothing
  ├── Shirts
  ├── Pants
  └── Accessories

Assign a parent when creating or editing a category. Subcategories appear nested in the storefront filters.

Brands

Creating brands

Go to Products → Brands → Create Brand:

• Name — brand display name (e.g., "Nike")
• Slug — URL-friendly identifier
• Description — optional brand description
• Logo — brand logo image
• Website — link to the brand's website
• Active — inactive brands are hidden

Assigning to products

When creating or editing a product, select a category and brand from the dropdowns. Products can belong to one category and one brand.

Storefront filtering

Categories and brands appear as filters on your storefront. Configure filter visibility and behavior in Product Filters.
