Telegram Stars
Accept payments with Telegram's built-in currency — zero configuration.
Telegram Stars is Telegram's built-in digital currency. It's the simplest payment method — no provider setup required.
Setting up
- Go to Storefront Settings → Orders & Payments → Currency
- Select XTR (Telegram Stars) as your store currency
- That's it — no payment token or provider configuration needed
When using Telegram Stars, all product prices are displayed in Stars. Telegram handles the payment flow entirely.
How it works
- Customer adds items to cart
- At checkout, Telegram's native Stars payment dialog appears
- Customer confirms payment with their Stars balance
- Order is automatically confirmed
Limitations
- Customer information fields (name, phone, email, shipping address) are not available with Stars payments — Telegram handles the checkout flow
- Tips are not supported
- Stars are best suited for digital goods and services
Pricing in Stars
Set your product prices in Stars (XTR). The exchange rate between Stars and fiat currency is managed by Telegram.
When to use Stars
Stars work best for:
- Digital products (templates, guides, access codes)
- Services and subscriptions
- Global audiences (no currency conversion issues)
- Fastest possible setup (literally zero configuration)
