Mini App Setup
Configure your Telegram Mini App in BotFather.
Your store runs as a Telegram Mini App. This page covers how to configure it properly.
Initial setup
Get your bot token
If you haven't already, create a bot via @BotFather and save the bot token. Enter it in Storefront Settings → Mini App → Bot Token.
Copy your Store URL
Your unique store URL is displayed in the Mini App settings. Copy it.
Configure in BotFather
- Open @BotFather
- Send
/mybotsand select your bot - Go to Bot Settings → Menu Button → Configure Mini App
- Set the URL to your store URL
Bot username
Once you've entered your bot token, the Bot Username is automatically detected and displayed. This username is used for:
- Generating share links (
https://t.me/yourbot?startapp=...) - Referral links
- Contest links
- Product share links
Share link format
Your share links look like:
https://t.me/yourbot?startapp=product-sneakers-001Customers can open these links in any Telegram chat to go directly to a specific product.
Share links and referral links won't work until the Mini App is configured in BotFather.
Telegram Web Login
Tiny Shops supports Telegram Web Login, allowing customers to authenticate on the web version of your store. This is automatically configured when you set your bot token.
